Viral Video: Pianist Performs John Lennon's 'Imagine' Outside Bataclan Hall After Paris Attacks [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

The terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday evening left many people killed, injured, and heartbroken.

As many would lose hope in humanity after the tragic events, an unnamed pianist sparks inspiration and hope by playing John Lennon's "Imagine" outside Le Bataclan concert hall on Saturday morning.

According to The Guardian:

"An unnamed man plays John Lennon's 'Imagine' on a grand piano outside the Bataclan in tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks. Residents and visitors leave flowers and candles outside the venue, as well as at Le Carillon and Le Petite Cambodge restaurants. French citizens are trying to come to terms with the series of deadly attacks in the capital on Friday evening, which killed at least 127 people."

As the pianist played "John Lennon's visionary plea for peace," people gathered around the pianist outside of the Bataclan theatre to listen, and cry to the heart-wrenching tribute.

The touching display has proven how music can both gather and bring people together in times of turmoil, and not just sadness. The tune was also very appropriate, in light of claims that the ISIS group was behind the attacks.

Rolling Stone reports:

"Flowers, candles and memorials were also set up outside the Bataclan, the epicenter of the deadliest day in France since World War II. Lennon's 1971 classic features the lyrics 'Imagine there's no countries / It isn't hard to do / Nothing to kill or die for / And no religion too.' Those lyrics especially resonate in the aftermath of the Paris terror attacks, a massacre perpetrated by the Islamic State (ISIS)."

Since the Paris terrorist attacks, French President Francois Hollande has declared the French capital in a state of emergency.

Not only that, but the European country has also issued three days of national mourning after the Friday evening Paris attacks.
