Campbell Soup Recalls 355,000 Cans Of SpaghettiOs

Campbell Soup Co. has recalled 355,000 cans of SpaghettiOs Original in the U.S. after receiving complaints of plastic pieces that cause choking.

"This product should not be eaten. People who have bought the affected product should return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund," Campbell said in a statement. "Campbell Soup Company apologizes for the inconvenience. We apologize for any inconvenience and if you have questions please call 1-866-535-3774 or send a message."

Although Campbell Soup Co. claims that the plastic is food grade and not harmful if swallowed, items were still recalled to ensure safety. Pieces of the can's lining with the possibility of peeling off were said to be found in a small number of the 14.2 ounce cans.

Some of the cans have an expiration date of February 22, 2017. The UPC code is 51000 22432 and is printed under the bar code. For consumers who have brought the product with the said code could return the items for an exchange or full refund.

The recalled cans are limited to the United States only.
