Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory's Golden Ticket Winners Reunited

Golden ticket winners of the film 'Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' reunited on TV after forty-four years.

'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' is an American musical fantasy film and was an adaptation of Roald Dahl's 1964 novel. It was released in 1971 and was directed by Mel Stuart. The film was about a child Charlie Bucket getting a golden ticket to visit Willy Wonka's chocolate factory together with four other children from around the world.

It's been forty-four years since the film was released and people have seen the fantastic wonderland. The film has brought together five child actors who even after filming the movie would still see each other. Up until now when they are very much adults.

The five starring characters were: Peter Ostrum palyed Charlie Bucket, Denise Nickerson as Violet Beauregarde, Paris Themmen as Mike Teevee, Julie Dawn Cole as Veruca Salt, and Michael Bollner as Augustus Gloop. Recently, they appeared together during the interview and had a reunion.

According to The Huffingtonpost, the child actors from the film appeared and reunited on the "Today" show. During their interview they shared how the flick was filmed and what it was like working with Gene Wilder, who played inconic character Willie Wonka. Julie Dawn Cole said that all of them wanted his attention which was she thinks must have been tiresome for Wilder.

They said that that if given the chance to portray their roles again, they would happily do it. The film put a constant genuine smile on their faces. Cole said, "We call it the Wonka Effect."

Dailymail reported on their website that the 82-year old Gene Wilder was immensely patient with the younger stars. "We think of ourselves as a family, maybe a bit of a dysfunctional family, but a family!" Paris Themmen happily said.

It is a wonderful feeling that the after forty-four years the bond between the cast is still strong. And anyone can see that they still feel like golden ticket winners.
