Leah Messer is putting up a strong front in social media after losing the custody of her twin daughters to Corey Simms.
Radar Online shared that insiders fear that the 23-year-old reality star is "suicidal" following the devastating blow. "Leah seems deeply depressed, and everyone is very concerned," a family insider told the publication about Leah, who lost primary custody of her 6-year-old daughters Ali and Aleeah to her ex-husband last month after a long, nasty court battle. "She can't imagine life without her girls."
Dawn Spears, mother of the reality star, is worried about her struggling daughter. "Dawn is asking friends for advice on how to help her," the source revealed.
Leah has gone to rehab for depression. However, her confidante disclosed that she never talked about her struggle with them.
"It's obvious that she has struggled with pills, but she refuses to talk about it," a confidante said. "If she won't be honest, how is she ever going to truly get better?"
Radar Online added that Leah had been taking prescription painkillers since the 2013 birth of daughter Addie, until her rehab stint. However, it is not clear if she is completely clean now.
Correy and his wife Miranda have long accused the "Teen Moms 2" star of abusing drugs and being a bad mother to the girls. At an October court hearing, a judge gave the 25-year-old ex-husband of Leah and left her with time for the girls only on weekends.
Aside from Leah, co-star Kailyn Lowry is also reportedly struggling with family issues at the moment after being sighted without her wedding ring. The incident then triggered the news that she and husband Javi Marroquin are on the brink of divorce again.
The MTV star was first seen picking up a pumpkin patch with a friend wearing no wedding band. Then, she posed in a photo with her trainer with her ringless finger on a separate incident.
