The Seewalds delightfully welcomed the arrival of their bouncing baby boy on November 5. Although Jessa Duggar's pregnancy journey is no secret to the public, the name of her son was kept private until they released a video on Wednesday.
After thousands of and well wishes and name suggestions, the young couple finally decided with a name that is fit for the cute baby that they have. The reality TV star, together with her husband Ben Seewald, couldn't hide their joy as they publicly announced that they named their first born with Spurgeon Elliot Seewald!

The couple explained the reason why they find that name perfect for their son: "We are very excited to introduce our little baby boy to the world. We worked hard on a name and we finally figured it out," Jessa explains in the video. "Charles Spurgeon was a preacher that lived back in the 19th century," Ben says.
"And he had a big impact on our lives. His writings and sermons and books are around today and still have an impact. Elliot that was the last name of Jim Elliot. Jim was a missionary in South America... his wife Elizabeth went back to the tribe after his husband's death."
They say that names are description of the character of the person it has been assigned with and with the young couple's choice, this is a sure declaration their newly born baby will grow up according to his parent's Christian beliefs, which is a pretty good idea - especially after the traumatic experience of Jessa during childbirth.
According to Hollywood Life, after nearly a two day labor, things were running smoothly for the 23-year-old first time mom, Jessa until she ran into major complications that her mom, Michelle Duggar was instructed by the midwife to call 911. Jessa lost so much blood that she had to be confined to the hospital to undergo blood transfusion.
