'The Walking Dead' Theory: Will Glenn Still Survive Now That Negan Is Coming To Season 6? [SPOILERS]

[POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!]

The time has finally come: Negan is coming to 'The Walking Dead,' and he will be bringing Lucille with him.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, former 'Supernatural' star Jeffrey Dean Morgan has just been cast as the Saviors leader who intimidates other communities into giving them supplies in exchange of protection from the walkers. The 'Watchmen' actor will reportedly make an appearance in the season six finale and is expected to play a larger role in the following season.

As exciting as it is to have a new villain who could be a formidable foe for Rick Grimes and his team, the announcement that Negan is coming to Alexandria has had Glenn fans shaking in their boots. After all, the baddie made his introduction in the comic book series by bashing Glenn's head in with his beloved barbwire-covered baseball bat Lucille.

But isn't Glenn already dead in the TV series? He was last seen being zombie chow in the episode 'Thank You,' although some fans still believe that Glenn had survived the buffet by crawling under the dumpster. The most popular theory is that the character will wait until the walkers have had their fill and begin to leave before hightailing it for Alexandria, back into Maggie's arms.

It sounds like something that the clever Glenn would do, having survived so many walker and human attacks over the past seasons. But could Glenn be running back to Alexandria only to be bludgeoned to death by Negan by the season finale?

Glenn's death in the 'Walking Dead' comics was completely different compared to what happened at the dumpster. While the death of Glenn in the series looked purely accidental, the character endures Negan's horrible beating in front of Rick's group before finally dying.

Will Glenn survive the walkers and the beating from Negan's Lucille? Keep watching 'The Walking Dead' to find out.
