Since the San Diego Comic-Con was held in July, the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" trailers have been the talk of the town. Many expected the trailer, or at least a teaser to be released soon, but since nothing new has appeared of "Batman v Superman," fans are getting impatient.
Fortunately, there's some good news in all this waiting, and it's coming soon.
Producer Charles Roven sat down with Collider recently, and he said, "Honestly, you're going be seeing something very soon... I don't know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?"
While Roven's statement isn't saying much, something, anything before the end of the year is quite exciting for fans, especially since it's only a few weeks before the year actually ends.
Despite Roven's statement, the question remains as to when the new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer, or teaser, will be released. Up to now there's still no exact date.
According to Cinema Blend, there are a few possible choices when the new "Batman v Superman" footage, which will no doubt feature and Wonder Woman, might appear, since Warner Bros. has a few movies up in store before the end of 2015.
Here are the choices:
- First is the film "The 33," which is a movie about Chilean miners trapped for months underground. The film opens this weekend. However, with its storyline, it appears like it's an unlikely match for "Batman v Superman."
- Next is the movie "Creed," tohit theaters on Thanksgiving Day. This could reportedly work since it is a prime holiday release and the movie is quite nostalgic.
- There is also the epic "In the Heart of the Sea," a whale hunting story Ron Howard to be released in early December. The film will be shown in IMAX. However, the film will reportedly star Chris Hemworth, who plays Thor, and Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man. This would make an awkward pairing since the two stars play main characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Another film that the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer could be paired with is "Point Break," opening on Christmas. However, with the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" the week prior to "Point Break," this might also be unlikely.
In the end, while all the movies above could make a good pairings for the showing of the new "Batman v Superman" footage, nobody still knows when the release will be. One thing is for sure though, fans don't have to wait too long.
