Men these days could learn a thing or two about love and romance from iconic actor, Burt Reynolds. He recently confessed during an interview with Vanity how he lost the love of his life, Sally Field.
"I miss her terribly," the 79-year-old actor said, as he was being bold about his feelings. He continued saying, "Even now, it's hard on me. I don't know why I was so stupid. Men are like that, you know. You find the perfect person, and then you do everything you can to screw it up."
Reynolds and Field used to work together for movies like Smokey and the Bandit and Hooper. The two were in a romantic relationship for half a decade until they finally split up. There were reports saying that he proposed to her many times, but Field just continued to turn him down.
They both went their separate ways and Field found herself married and divorced three times. Reynolds also got married, but apparently, America is still hoping they get back together.
Field has been quiet about her personal life. She is the kind of actress who values privacy, which not a lot of celebrities these days have anymore due to social media.
In fact, when the press told her that Reynolds misses her and still feels something for her, the actress didn't even believe it and said she didn't hear about it. And she said that should she make a comment about it, she would just address it to Reynolds himself and it is going to be just between them.
Reynolds did an interview with Vanity Fair for his soon to be released memoir called, But Enough About Me. He was bold enough to say that Field is the love of his life and clearly, the one that got away.
