For those who have had enough with the politically correct Starbucks new design, one of its biggest competing brands has now released a new type Dunkin Donuts coffee cups for the holidays, and it seems this one is Christmassy enough for those involved in the controversy.
According to The New York Post, the new Dunkin Donuts coffee cups, winter white in color, are decorated with images of wreaths and holly, reminding people of Christmas, as well as adding the word "Joy" to them, in full festive mode.
Those who had turned their backs on Starbucks are now drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee, and many have gone on social media to express their satisfaction with their new holiday-themed cups, with users saying, both jokingly and seriously, that this meant that Jesus didn't hate their coffee cups anymore.
As The New York Daily News reports, those who have migrated to Dunkin Donuts coffee after the Starbucks controversy have gone through a fairly intense week in the media, with even GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump weighing in on the situation, calling for a boycott of the Seattle-based company over their supposedly promoting anti-Christian values - even though Starbucks has officially said that their desire with the simpler design was intended to bring an all-encompassing cup that would serve all denominations, and not only Christians.
"Our core values as a company is to create a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity... we will continue to embrace and welcome customers from all backgrounds and religions in our stores around the world," said a rep for Starbucks recently, according to The Inquisitr.
