Ariana Grande and The Weekend In the Middle Of Their Label's Drama

Pop sensations Ariana Grande and The Weekend are currently experiencing some battles faced by their label Republic Records. According to The Inquisitr, the two are not at odds with each other, but it's their label who is dealing with such drama that could be affecting their careers.

Although the effect is not that massive, the whole thing was still quite messy. A radio broadcaster from Canada is behind all this drama and he goes by the name of Rob Farina. Apparently, he sent an urgent letter to all broadcasters in Canada accusing the singers' label of favoritism when it comes to dealing with their talents.

In his letter, he wants all broadcasters to stop playing songs of the label's artists like Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Florence and the Machine and of course, The Weekend and Ariana Grande. Billboard had the letter published and it looked really serious.

Music Times wrote that Farina pointed out that another label is getting more opportunities for exclusivity but only for some artists. One of the incidents that he is trying to make sense of his concern was when Ariana Grande and The Weekend were the artists chosen to headline a nightclub show. He also included in his letter the fact that the label did bypass some rules when it comes to promoting using Universal Music Canada and completely disregarded the proper promotional procedures.

But all these have already been talked about and were resolved. The people behind the events and shows that the two artists were involved have already said their statements about the whole thing and apparently, there wasn't really a problem. Farina also cleared out that everything has worked out now.

As for Ariana Grande, this is probably not over because she is getting some really bad comments from people in the industry regarding her work ethic.
