Sunny Queen Adds Value To Eggs With A Range Of Meal Solution Products

Sunny Queen Meal Solutions has launched two new products for commercial kitchens to use over the forthcoming festive season.

Australian Food News shared that the two latest canapé offerings are egg bites and mini fritters. However, these products are only available for purchase in restaurants, cafes and other businesses in the hospitality industry.

Flavor options for egg bites are smoked ham and cheese, goat's cheese and caramelized onions and creamy feta and garden spinach. Fritters, on the other hand, are available in cheese and Spanish with chorizo, and corn flavor.

Staff are required to heat the food as both options come pre-prepared. Each product have a shelf life of one year from the date of production.

Sunny Queen Managing Director John O'Harra stated that the company's meal solution range caters for commercial kitchens looking for versatility and convenience. Moreover, the egg-based canapés can be heated in a hot plate, grill, microwave, combi or traditional over.

Sunny Queen's meal solutions range was launched in June 2015 with the company investing millions into the venture, which include building a AUD$23 million facility at Carole Park, Queensland.

"One of Australia's largest egg producers Sunny Queen has recently launched a new range of pre-prepared egg meals designed for commercial kitchens," AFN reported in June. "The range includes omelettes, fritters, poached, scrambled and baked eggs. Kitchens will be required to defrost and reheat the eggs once they are ready to serve them."

"The range has been released under a new banner of the company that is being called Sunny Queen's 'Meal Solutions'," the report read. "Whilst frozen, some of the egg products can last up to 12 months. The products are described as made in Australia from local and imported ingredients."

Meanwhile, all Sunny Queen Meal Solutions can be purchased through its distributors PFD Food Services, Country Wide, NAFDA and BIDVest. The distributors combined cover the whole of Australia.

Prices vary between distributors. However, prices start from $48.00 for a carton of 120 egg bites and $64.00 for a carton of a 120 mini fritters.
