World's Most Expensive Valentine's Day Dinner Costs $99,300

How much are you looking to spend this Valentine's day? How about $99,300?

According to the Huffington Post, British luxury retail site VeryFirstTo.com and culinary site GreatBritishChefs.com, have teamed up to offer the ultimate dining-and-romance experience: a Valentine's day dinner prepared by Michelin-starred British chef Adam Simmonds.

For the price of $99,300, a lucky individual will have Simmonds come to their home and prepare an eight-course meal, featuring some of the "rarest and most decadent ingredients on the planet." Some publications are calling this meal "the world's most expensive Valentine's Day Meal."

The "no expense-spared" romantic dinner will include white caviar ($4,891.80), spring white truffle ($1,630.60), gold leaf ($3,261.20), silver leaf ($1,304.48) and amethyst bamboo salt ($3,261.20). The Post reported that bamboo salt is the most expensive salt in the world.

The meal also comes with pacific bluefin tuna, foie gras, truffle salad, smoked eel, rissotto with carabineros prawns, saffron and wagyu beef.

"Each dish has been created with romance in mind and to allow the spectacular ingredients to work their magic, in both creating delicious food and the perfect mood for romance," Simmonds said.

To wash down the luxurious meal, Corney & Barrow has carefully selected exclusive red and white wines worth over $27,742. The dinner is also accompanied with entertainment, including a live harpist, a romantic poet and a dozen doves.

The finale of the meal is vanilla and smoked chocolate with kopi luwak ice cream.

"The menu awakes all the senses and the luxury element further intensifies the pleasure of this meal." Marcel Knobil, founder of VeryFirstTo.com said in a statement. "VeryFirstTo will also be enhancing the experience by covering the table in rose petals; releasing a dozen white doves, lighting 50 rose scented candles, and entertaining the couple with a harpist and a romantic poet."
