Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Welcomes A Bouncing Baby Boy

The former 19 Kids and Counting star, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and husband Ben Seewald welcomed a boy Thursday evening.

The popular Duggar daughter has been active in sharing her pregnancy journey on social media for months, and even did poll over the baby's weight. But now the suspense is over - whether they were having a boy or girl since they finally got to carry their firstborn son.

Jessa has been transparent in confessing her fears on social media as her delivery date arrives. She is concerned about having an extra-sized baby like her as she shared on a post in her Instagram:

"We've been taking a poll with the Duggar and Seewald families over the past few weeks, and everyone is trying to guess how much they think #BabySeewaldmight weigh at birth...," she wrote.

"I was the biggest out of all my siblings, weighing 9lbs 15oz - and Ben weighed 8lbs 15oz.Haha! I'd say it's very possible we could have a chubby little baby!"

So it did not come as a surprise when their baby boy weighed nine pounds, eleven ounces.

The 23-year-old reality star, couldn't have been happier, having spent the first year of marriage, privately with her husband before the baby arrived.

"I think having this first year together to share our lives, just the two of us, has been special," said Jessa. "[We are] definitely excited to be parents."

Going against the family tradition of an all women baby shower, she held a co-ed baby shower last month and was graced by her dad Jim Bob Duggar, who is 50, and her mom Michelle Duggar, who is 49. But the little Seewald remains unnamed until now.

The birth of the new baby will be a focal point in Counting On, TLC's upcoming series of specials featuring Jessa and sister Jill's lives now.
