Sienna Miller had broken her silence and responded to criticism she faced after being a guest on The Graham Norton Show without wearing a poppy.
The 33-year-old actress apologized and explained herself after being lambasted online because she failed to were the item, in honor of fallen soldiers since World War 1.
'I had a poppy on funnily enough and I was wearing a dress that was like crepe paper basically and as I was going on I looked down - it was tearing at the dress and they'd said my name and so I whipped it off,' Miller's explanation upon appearing on Friday's Good Morning Britain.
'It's unfortunate it's been made such a huge kind of ... it's really snowballed apparently and of course I don't think there is anyone in this country that isn't grateful and respectful and never would want to cause offence and wear a poppy all the time but people kind of focus on things enough to pick at the negative," she added.
'It seems a little extreme,' the actress said to host Charlotte Hawkins.
'Also, there's another show I'm worried about coming out because we pre - recorded it, where we are probably not wearing poppies but some of these things are filmed weeks before they air. But you can't please everyone and I meant no disrespect. Of course I didn't,' the worried star stated.
Miller appeared on the show last week, beside her is Burnt co-star Bradley Cooper - who was wearing a poppy on his jacket. The actress wore a pink dress constructed by a fine fabric that time.
But TV audiences who watched the show quickly posted in Twitter their feelings towards the missing poppy.
Christopher Leader tweeted: 'Catching up with last nights @grahnort @TheGNShow which was gr8t! Shame the actress #SiennaMiller couldn't be a role model & wear a poppy.
