In current "Batman v Superman" news, a new synopsis is out, and it reveals the reason for the superheroes' extreme anger towards each other, as well as Lex Luthor's role in the much-anticipated film.
Since it was confirmed that there would be a "Batman v Superman" film in production, news sites have focused mainly on Batman and Superman. Now the new plot details provides a little more about the main characters - Superman, Batman, even Lex Luthor, who will reportedly be vengeful and righteous, according to Jesse Eisenberg in a recent interview.
Den of Geek reported that Odeon Cinemas in UK published the new short plot description on "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." The synopsis reads:
"At long last, see Batman and Superman square off against each other in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice', an epic superhero showdown which will change both their lives forever.
Clark Kent doesn't trust Gotham's mysterious masked vigilante. Bruce Wayne doesn't trust the alien who nearly destroyed Metropolis. And Lex Luthor, who hates Superman more than anyone, is manipulating both of them for his own twisted ends.
Choose your side: the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight? Learn the answer to the age-old question - who would win? - in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice'."
While the movie, as it is titled "Batman v Superman", obviously means the two legendary superheroes are going to fight each other, little remains known as to why they have an intense bad blood with each other. Now, with the new synopsis out, it appears that supervillain Lex Luthor will be behind the entire thing. If anything,
According to Game Spot, Fortune magazine featured a fictional profile of Luthor earlier this month. In the profile, Eisenberg reportedly discussed his rivals, including Batman's Wayne Enterprises.
"It's not a competition. Besides, I can't hold a candle to those guys in the debauched billionaire playboy department!" he said.
Directed by "Man of Steel's" Zack Snyder, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set for release March 25, 2016. It stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Another film by Zack Snyder set to follow "Batman v Superman" is "Justice League," reported Cosmic Book News.
