‘Doctor Strange’ News: Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme Spotted During Nepal Shoot!

Over the past couple of years, Benedict Cumberbatch has gone from a cult English actor on the BBC modern-day adaptation "Sherlock" to one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood, with many projects coming out lately and even getting his own Marvel Cinematic Universe movie - and in the latest "Doctor Strange" news, there's footage of the star now!

Previous "Doctor Strange" news has revealed that shooting for the film, the second in the Marvel Phase 3 after next summer's "Captain America: Civil War," had started principal photography, shooting a few scenes at Nepal before heading off to Pinewood-Shepperton Studios in London (where the James Bond movies mostly are made), reportedly where Cumberbatch's character, Stephen Strange, learns the craft of Sorcerer Supreme.

Now, according to Cinema Blend, the latest "Doctor Strange" news shows that paparazzi cameras have caught Cumberbatch shooting, after Twitter user Prayush Khadka posted a snap of the actor, currently sporting a heavy beard for the role.

As Screen Crush reports, previous "Doctor Strange" news had said that London shooting was scheduled to begin on December, but it seems like filmmakers wanted to get away from onlookers' cameras for a bit (and failed miserably) by dropping by Nepal unannounced.

Undoubtedly, this is only the first of many "Doctor Strange" news coming up, as recent history says that big superhero movie shoots are often plagued with paparazzi, which is how he world got a glimpse of Margot Robbie and Jared Leto on "Suicide Squad" as well as snaps of Chris Evans on "Civil War."

According to Coming Soon, scenes currently being filmed are almost certainly from the beginning of the film, when Cumberbatch's character, genius and egotistical neurosurgeon Strange, wanders to the Himalayas to try to fix his shattered hands after an accident - there, he meets Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) who teaches him about magic.
