Sofia Vergara is chowing down on 333-calorie meatballs for charity.
According to the Huffington Post, the "Modern Family" actress has partnered with Italian restaurant chain Buca di Beppo in a campaign called "Meatballs 4 Niños," which is aimed at raising money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
For every meatball dish served, $1 will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which helps children fighting cancer and other deadly diseases.
Also involved in the new initiative is Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl, who runs the nationwide Italian restaurant. The campaign will launch at all 97 chain locations, the Huffington Post reported.
"We're honored to partner with Sofia," Earl said in a press release. "The children's research hospital does everything possible to save the lives of children fighting cancer, and they share their research breakthroughs with doctors around the world helping save kids with illnesses in communities everywhere."
The 41-year-old Emmy-nominated actress, who has long-since been a spokesperson of the hospital, called Buca di Beppo one of her "favorite restaurants" in the press release and said she was thrilled about the donation agreement.
"It means so much to me that one of my favorite restaurants is supporting a cause so dear to me," Vergara explained in a press release, "Thanks to programs like this, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything, not for treatments, travel, housing or food."
In 2013, Vergara, who is a thyroid cancer survivor, partnered with St. Jude's "Thanks and Giving" campaign to help raise money to find a cure for cancer,
"As a mother and cancer survivor, there is nothing more important to me than helping to support the work of St. Jude," Vergara said at the time. "They help save the lives of children around the world."
Vergara has a string of endorsements, including CoverGirl, Diet Pepsi, K-Mart, Comcast, State Farm, Rooms To Go and Synthroid. The actress's net worth is $35 million.
