Members of the Daily News who sampled the soon-to-be released treats reportedly found them "generally only mildly agreeable."

Staff members at TIME publication were also given the opportunity to test out the new flavors and determined that although the Cookie Dough flavor was good, it tasted more like caramel and coffee than "cookie dough." According to TIME, one staff member suggested that the cookie be renamed "Frappuccino Oreo."

TIME suggested that the Marshmallow Crispy Oreo actually tasted like a Rice Krispies Treat and would "possibly" become a fan favorite.
