Jillian Michaels Partners With Curve For New Fitness Routine

Fitness guru Jillian Michaels has added another chapter to her workout world.

According to "Access Hollywood", the tough-love trainer on NBC's hit reality show "The Biggest Loser," has partnered with the popular women's fitness center, Curves, in order to create a 30-minute full body workout video.

"My thing is 30-minute workouts," Michaels told Healthy Hollywood. "That's our goal to provide women with the tools to make the changes they want in their lives. It provides you the opportunity to fit in as many fitness modalities as possible because you aren't resting. There is no downtime.

"First off the heart rate is up entire time," she said. "Second of all, we are strengthening and conditioning cardiovascular at the same time, which has been shown scientifically to provide the best results. Plus, the way we worked out will amp up your calories for hours to come."

Michaels, who turned 40 next month, said she was determined to get into the best shape of my life. Her fitness path started at the age of 13, when she was enrolled in a martial arts class. The celebrity trainer has an empire of exercise DVDs, equipment, best-selling books and clothing.

"I don't lock into one type of exercise," Michaels said. "I change the workout every month, so you never adapt and never plateau."

Michaels workout routine focus on flexibility, balance, core stabilization, power, speed and agility, along with a well-balanced diet, which includes her counting calories.

"First you're a vegan. Then, you're into the Paleo diet," Michaels said. "Now, you don't eat wheat. It's ridiculous! At the end of the day, it is common sense, don't eat chemicals, eat real foods and don't eat more food than you burn in a day."

Michaels said she understands from experience how health can improve confidence and empower people.

"I could take somebody that is a second away from having a heart attack and in four months I can have them running a marathon," she said. "That's amazing. I would never have thought that was possible 10 years ago."
