Johnny Depp will soon be off the market.
According to People magazine, a source has confirmed that the actor and his girlfriend Amber Heard are engaged, to be married. Rumors sparked of the couple's engagement when Heard was seen covering up a diamond ring on her left hand on Monday in Los Angeles.
"Of course they couldn't be happier to be engaged and excited to share the rest of their lives together," a source revealed to the magazine. "Amber has really taken well to the kids and really enjoys spending time with them. And she's even taken Lily shopping on her own for some bonding time."
People reports that "The Lone Ranger" star proposed on Christmas Eve but Heard took a while to make up her mind.
"She turned him down before," the source said. "Before she said yes. So she waited and was thinking about it for a long time."
Depp and Heard first met on the set of the 2011 movie "The Rum Diary". The couple, who attended the 2014 Golden Globes hand in hand, were romantically linked, after Depp announced his separation from partner Vanessa Paradis. For former couple have two children, Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11, but never married.
Heard, 27, came out as bisexual and revealed that she previously in a four-year relationship with Hawaiian artist and photographer Tasya van Ree. This will be Depp and Heard's first trip down that aisle.
