Liam Payne: ‘Devastated’ with Sophia Smith Split; Where Will ‘One Direction’ Star Live in 2016?

Liam Payne and Sophia Smith have split, and the big question now is where the One Direction star will live during the next year since the band's tour will then be over.

News outlets like People have announced split rumors between Liam Payne and Sophia Smith as early as October 26. At the time the two haven't announced anything, but on November 1, the split became official.

In an exclusive interview with the Sun, the 22-year-old One Directoner said that she and Sophia have split and that he is devastated."

"I'm absolutely devastated to have split with Sophia. Being on the tour all this year and being away from her was so hard. We spent so much time apart..." Liam said.

"But in order to do right by somebody sometimes it's better not to do what your heart wants, but to do what's better for them. Right now I'm looking forward to some alone time to figure out who I am and what I want to be," he concluded.

However, while it's devastating that the couple have split, it's more devastating that the singer may not decide on a home so soon since he would have to spend time alone as much as possible in order to figure things out.

Below are his options:

  • Liam Payne's £5.1 million Surrey mansion, which he bought in January. SugarScape reported that it has a ballet studio, cinema, swimming pool, tennis court as well as a state-of-the-art security system. Being a public figure, this would come in handy for the star, so this is definitely an option. Sophia Smith was reported to be living in the mansion with Payne, however there were no confirmed reports of her visiting Payne's Surrey home. The home could also be just an investment, as he may have never lived there at all since buying it.
  • Liam Payne's parents' home in Wolverhampton is also an option, according to The Inquisitr.
  • Another option is his home in Scotland. Scottish Daily Recordreported in October 19: "Stumped at what to get her multi-millionaire brother, Liam's older sister Ruth bought him one-square-foot [plot] of Keil Hill estate, in Glencoe Wood, Argyll [in Scotland]."

While Liam Payne may have not decided as to his home following One Direction's tour and his split with Sophia, it is certain that those around him are ready to offer some cheers into his life.

As for one direction, according to The Daily Mail, Liam is setting his plans on working with bandmate Louis who's creating his own record label.

In August, the boyband confirmed their hiatus. Though they never said that they will be breaking up, rumors claim that the hiatus will turn into a disbanding.

Late 2015, 1D will release their fifth album, "Made in the AM."
