On Sunday, November 1, fighting back tears, actress Vicky Gunvalson admitted for the first time that she had been betrayed by ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers and his cancer claims.
After months of denials during the part three of The Real Housewives of Orange Countyreunion show, the 53-year-old reality star made the impressive admission that she no longer believes he is fighting the disease.
Finally agreeing with host Andy Cohen and her co-stars that Brooks was not ill, Vicky however, admitted she had no real proof to back that up.
"My gut says he doesn't have it," she said, point-blank. "I don't have any proof that he doesn't, and he won't give me enough proof that he does. I've been busy with my business and this big house, and I'm like, 'There has to be truth in this stuff.'"
Vicki has officially turned against her ex-boyfriend. Andy pressed Vicki further, after collecting his jaw from the floor, asking when exactly she stopped believing Brooks.
"I would say probably three months ago, I really questioned him and said to him, 'This isn't making sense.
"Why won't you give me your reports?''she replied. "And he kept telling me, 'You have no right...You're going to take them to the women.'' The usual response of people with cancer when asked to show proof.
She then told her daughter, Briana Culberson she 'would never lie' about Brooks having cancer and Briana told her that she had been manipulated into covering for him.
'I didn't know that he didn't have cancer, that is the answer,' said Vicki.
'I am hurt that I hurt everybody else and I want my girlfriends to respect me and love me. I lost that and I am going to work hard to get that back,' Vicki promised.
At the end of the show Heather Dubrow said that she did not feel Vicki had gone far enough in admitting her own fault and 'was not satisfied' with what she had heard.
Shannon admitted she was "very disappointed" in her relationship with Vicki but was in a good place in her own marriage.
