Actor Leonardo DiCaprio was one of the many actors awarded at the 71st Annual Golden Globes.
The actor, who won for best actor in a musical or comedy, for his performance in "The Wolf Of Wall Street," become emotional during his acceptance speech.
"This movie was an eight-year process to put up on screen," DiCaprio told Nancy O'Dell of "Entertainment Tonight". "And I got my favorite director in the world, one of my favorite artists of all time, to direct it."
DiCaprio has been nominated 10 times for the Golden Globes, but Sunday night was second time winning. In 2005, DiCaprio won for his lead role in "The Aviator".
In the film, DiCaprio partnered with legendary director Martin Scorsese who he worked in on several films including "Gangs Of New York," "The Departed" and "Shutter Island".
"I'm an incredibly fortunate person," DiCaprio said. "And I'm so lucky to be able to do movies with him. Especially films like this.
"That kind of push the boundaries and take chances. Films that ultimately say something about the darker nature of our culture. And those are hard to do. So, yeah, I suppose I did get a little emotional," he said.
Other wins for the night included Amy Adams, for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical, in "American Hustle"; Matthew McConaughey, for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama in "Dallas Buyers Club"; and Cate Blanchett for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama in "Blue Jasmine".
