The latest album 'Revival' of American actress and singer Selena Gomez, was the singer's first since she left Disney - and as such it was sexier and a much more mature collection. This time, it looks like Selena Gomez may have taken a page from the playbook of Amy Schumer when working on the record.
On Sunday, at the Hollywood Film Awards, the 'Good For You' singer presented the Hollywood Comedy Award to the American stand-up comedian, writer and actress - Amy Schumer, and Selena Gomez admitted her deep love and respect for the comedian.
Selena Gomez stated, "I am really glad that Jennifer Lawrence was unable to do this tonight," Selena Gomez also said, as she acknowledged Schumer's friendship with Jennifer Lawrence, "because I love you!"
Then, Selena Gomez added, "You gave me inspiration, not to take myself too seriously. When I sit on my couch, sort of endlessly depressed about certain things, you've always made me feel like I'm an intimidating person, however, most of the time I am not. You say the things I wish I could spit out. And you never, ever make me feel inferior for anything I do in my personal life. Even though you don't know me in person. Let me make it clear, I'm a huge fan!"
When the creator, co-writer and star of the sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, took the stage to accept her award, Amy Schumer repaid the compliment that was given to her by Selena Gomez.
Amy Schumer said, "There are so many women that cause great surprise like Selena, who's like, 'You know what I mean? I'm going to be self-assured and I'm going to live to my latent abilities and be really proud of my work, and not fit into the mold that is so dated that we generally assumed to fit in the whole time.'"
