120-Pound Woman Chows Down 72-Ounce Steak in Under 3 Minutes (VIDEO)

Molly Schuyler, a competitive eater, completely obliterated the world record for Fastest Eating of a 72-Ounce Steak, the New York Daily News reported.

The 120-pound mother of four from Nebraska downed the entire steak in 2 minutes and 44 seconds, a record previously held by Peter "Furious Pete" Czerwinski, which was six minutes and 48 seconds.

Schuyler opted not to use utensils to chow down at Sayler's Old Country Kitchen in Portland, Oregon. According to the restaurant's website, any customer that can down an entire 72-ounce slab of meat in less than an hour will not have to pay for their meal, which is usually $65.

The eatery's challenge requires an individual to "eat the monstrous steak along with two celery sticks, two carrot sticks, two pickles, a salad, 10 french fries, a baked potato and a slice of bread in an hour," without leaving their table.

Before Schuyler's attempt, only 10 women were successful of the 1,500 people who attempted the "72 oz Steak Challenge." According to KPTV, Schuyler perviously downed a 12-pound sandwich, a pound of fries and a large soft drink during her recent tour of the Pacific Northwest. She was the first woman to ever complete that challenge.

"(It's) an unexplained phenomenon; I was just born that way," Schuyler told KPTV. "I started doing this about a year ago, and I guess it's like a stupid human trick."

Weeks earlier, Schuyler uploaded a video of herself eating a nine-pound cottage cheese in less than two minutes.

"She's amazing when it comes to eating," Schuyler's husband, Sean, told the Des Moines Register last January. "She's an amazing person period, but she's really amazing when it comes to eating."

During an interview with the World-Herald Schuyler said drinking water gives her the ability to consume so much.

"I drink a lot of water," she said. "Since I drink so much liquid, I have a really big stomach."
