Starbucks Throwback: It's Red and Comes With Peppermint Mocha

Starbucks is making sure that it is always a part of everyone's holidays by being more creative in making coffee-lovers love their coffee even more every time!

Halloween has just ended and the multinational coffee chain's vampire-inspired Frappula Frappuccino earned a number of good reviews. But of course, Starbucks does not end their creativity with a spooky treat this year. We still have December around the corner and we all know what this means for Starbucks fans. Could it be Peppermint Mocha? Even better! Starbucks red holiday cups are back!

The cups-which will house fan-favourites Peppermint Mocha and Chestnut Praline Latte, plus the new drink called the Holiday Spice Flat White-go out in a red two-toned ombré design that "creates a distinctive dimension, fluidity and weightedness".

According to the Starbucks Vice President of Design and Content Jeffrey Fields, they want to give people a piece of calm despite the busyness of the holiday season. As Starbucks has been the home of coffee-lovers seeking for sanctuary during the holidays, Fields shares that they have been embracing the simplicity and quietness of it.

Of course, we cannot expect fans to be all quiet about this good news. Everyone's tweeting hallelujah #RedCups and enjoying the teeny tiny red cup emoji that appears in their posts like magic. Coffee buffs also try their luck for a chance to win a Starbucks eGift card by using hashtag #RedCupContest on Instagram.

In addition to the Red Cups comeback, all seasonal beverages are available iced or as a Frappuccino blended beverage. For the first time all over the country, these cold beverages also have their own festive holiday cup with a snowflake design: Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Eggnog Latte, Gingerbread Latte, Peppermint Mocha and Skinny Peppermint Mocha.

In almost two decades since the first red Starbucks cup, the worldwide company has expanded from 1,400 stores in a handful of countries to more than 22,000 stores in 68 markets around the world.
