The stars of TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" are recovering, after suffering injuries from a car accident Monday night, according to Us Weekly.
With Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson at the wheel, the reality star and her family were reportedly waiting at a red light to turn left. Once given the green light, Thompson pulled into the intersection, and was hit by a truck that reportedly ran a red light.
According to the police report, both drivers had a green light. Thompson told officials that he did not see the truck coming because the headlights were not on.
Seth Cagle, the 19-year-old driver of the truck told E! News that his lights were on an automatic setting.
"We both had the green light," Cage told E! News. "He [Sugar Bear] made a left hand turn which crossed the lane and I was traveling and that is when I struck him because he cut me off. He made a left hand turn when crossing on-coming traffic-that is when he struck me and I struck him. I was headed straight."
Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, her mother, June "Mama June" Shannon, and her sisters, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon were all in the car.
People magazine reported that some of the family members were transported to a hospital by an ambulance. Pumpkin reportedly suffered bruising on her chest and both parents suffered back injuries. Mama June was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt. Mama June released a statement regarding the car accident with her family.
"As many of you have heard we were in a car accident last night," Mama June said in a statement, according to People. "It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin's birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes."
