'Last Week Tonight' Host Slams Claims on Inviting Donald Trump to the Show

A lot of late-night talk show hosts, political commentators, cable news networks, and live variety programs are showing their eagerness in getting the candidate for President - Donald Trump, on their shows, but, there's at least one host who has appeared to display no interest in hosting the American real estate developer and television personality.

The host of the American television program - Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, who has yet to devote fully and clearly a full segment concerning the 2016 presidential election on the show. When the host of the show was asked if he endorsed Donald Trump in any way, the Emmy-winning writer stated that he doesn't "really care about him in any capacity." And as he was pushed further about whether he had invited Trump on Last Week Tonight, the host doubled down on his stance.

John Oliver explained, "I haven't really got anything to say to Donald Trump." "There's nothing-he's said everything he wants to say. Trump has no internal monologue, that man. So it's not like you're going to find the secret nugget Donald Trump has been holding back. Trump is an open book, and that book doesn't contain many interesting words in it."

The presidential candidate of the United States - Donald Trump, who is more than in-tune with what's being clearly expressed about him in the news, got wind of what John Oliver remarked about him. Donald Trump then asserted that Last Week Tonight made a polite request for him to come to the show (without being affected by Oliver's lack of interest to him) but Donald Trump turned it down, as he blamed the "boring" show and low ratings.

And the social media accounts of Last Week Tonight fires back ar Trump's tweet on Sunday with two written remarks to Trump's claims: While it doesn't deny the claim of Donald Trump that the Last Week Tonight show is boring, the show never invited the Republican candidate.
