Elite Prep School Graduate Found Guilty After Sexually Assaulting a 15- Year- Old Student

An Elite US Prep School graduate was found guilty and sentenced up to 12 months in prison for sexually assaulting a 15- year- old student- Nine MSN News reports Friday.

Twenty- year- old Owen Labrie was taking part in a student competition called "Senior Salute", where the goal of the said competition is to succeed in a series of sexual conquests. The suspect was 18 then, the same time when the sexual assault happened.

Labrie's victim appeared on court, Thursday, via a video link. The victim, a 15- year- old female student stated that she and her older sister were forced by Labrie and has done undesirable things that involve sensitive parts of their bodies. "What he did to me made me feel like I didn't belong on this planet... I want to be safe again. And I want justice," the 15- year-old student said.

According to the victim's statment, the motivation of Labrie to do such heinous act is all to have "an elevated status". Once he accomplished his 'goal', he was able to strike their names from his so- called 'bucket list', the girl added.

The three- hour court hearing resulted to a 12- month sentence in a house of corrections instead of state prison due to the crimes of the accused under 'misdemeanor' and will stay in probation for five years as a registered sex offender. While his defence appealed for a lighter sentence.

It has also been found out that in August, Labrie was accused but not found guilty of felony rape.

Judge Larry Smuckler in favour of the victim's request said during the hearing, "I believe that you (Labrie) are not the angel as portrayed by your counsel, but neither are you the devil as portrayed by the prosecution".
