Seems like we'll be seeing a girl squad in Ocean's Eleven and Sandra Bullock will be on the lead!
Sandra Bullock will be seen to be working again with George Clooney, the star of the 2001 of Ocean's Eleven and its two sequels, as her producer on the new gender swapped project. Just recently, Clooney produced the political satire Our Brand is Crisis and worked with Bullock in the said film which will debut US movie screens this weekend.
The 2001 hit film which will be reimagined as an all female affair and will be under the direction of Gary Ross (The Hunger Games). George Clooney, who is the original Danny Ocean, will be gender swapped with Sandra Bullock who will lead the pack.
According to their sources, Clooney, Steven Soderbergh, and Jerry Weintraub started to play with the idea of an all female cast since last year for Ocean's Eleven. It was halted when Weintraub - who produced the Soderbergh-directed 2001 film - passed away, but now it's back on track having Olivia Milch (Queen & Country, Little Women) on board to write the screenplay.
The Guardian reports that the revelation of the new Ocean's Eleven all female cast, followed through an announcement was made that there will be an all female remake of 80's hit, Ghostbusters starring Bridesmaids' Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig with Saturday Night Live alumni Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the protagonist. There are other gender-swapped movies that is in the works including Marvel's Doctor Strange, with Tilda Swinton in the supporting role of sorcerous mentor The Ancient One, thriller remake The Secret in Their Eyes with Julia Roberts and spy thriller The Gray Man with Charlize Theron in a role once eyed by Brad Pitt.
No plot details have been revealed for Ocean's Eleven yet and it's not yet clear whether the new version will be a remake, reboot, sequel, prequel, spinoff, reimagining, retelling, of the dead franchise. Insider information also mentioned that George Clooney could cameo as Danny Ocean.
