After making his exit from One Direction earlier this year to pursue his solo career, it seems like Zayn Malik is hitting the spotlight once again following recent claims that he has been reportedly making plans for a massive tour in support for his new album.
Reports say that the 22-year old singer, who's obviously pretty serious about getting his new music right, made the recording of the new material inside a tent in a forest to avoid distractions.
"His plans for launching his new music include visiting several major US cities, playing just one song in each, to showcase his work." a source quoted in the Hollywood Life.
The source went on saying, "The set-up may be basic but it sounds like a mix between The Weeknd and Frank Ocean. He's really excited about releasing it and has said how he can't wait to take on his former bandmates in the charts."
Zayn Malik's come back clearly has nothing to do with the upcoming hiatus of the now four piece band One Direction. However, some believe that if the launching of his new album and world tour would be after the band's hiatus, it could boom his new career as a solo artist.
While everybody is obviously on the lookout for his new music, Malik's fans are also thinking what this new music sounds like, adding that creating his own material has always been something that Zayn wanted to do ever since he was with One Direction.
"His biggest qualm in One Direction was always the fact that no one took his music seriously," the source said. "So he wants to prove that he's more than just a former boy band singer."
In July, Malik sent a message on Twitter, not too long after his exit. He wrote, "I guess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am! #realmusic #RCA!!"
