Last September, a Denver radio host called David Mueller filed a Taylor Swift lawsuit claiming that her wrongful accusations of inappropriate touching had cost him his job, demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost wages - but Swift's lawyers are hitting back with a countersuit.
Back on June 2, 2013, Mueller and Swift were at a photo shoot backstage at the Pepsi Center, when Mueller reportedly touched the "Bad Blood" singer inappropriately, something he claims never happened and cost him thousands of dollars - but this new counter Taylor Swift lawsuit sees the pop star standing her ground against him.
According to The Guardian, in his original Taylor Swift lawsuit, Mueller denies having touched Swift inappropriately at all, saying that the person responsible for this had been one of her superiors at KYGO radio station instead and making a point in saying he'd been used as a scapegoat - but Swift's pretty sure who made the move.
TMZ obtained court documents for Taylor Swift's lawsuit, saying she was sure it had been Mueller who had gotten a little handsy at the event, saying he lifted her skirt and grabbed her butt, something that made Calvin Harris' current girlfriend understandably "surprised, upset, offended and alarmed.
"The contention that Mr. Mueller lifted up Ms. Swift's skirt and grabbed her bottom, while standing with his girlfriend, in front of Ms. Swift's photographer and Ms. Swift's highly trained security personnel, during a company sponsored, VIP, backstage meet-and-greet, is nonsense," reads Mueller's original suit, CNN reported last month. "Particularly given that Ms. Swift's skirt is in place and is not being lifted by Mr. Mueller's hand in the photograph."
Hollywood Life reports that the star, who seeks a jury trial to clear the matter up once and for all, has said that any money she wins from this Taylor Swift lawsuit will go to women's charities "dedicated to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard."
