Bethesda is releasing something special for UK fans of the highly anticipated next installment of the Fallout series, Fallout 4. The Fallout Beer is the product of Bethesda's collaboration with beer company Carlsberg. It is described as "a light colored pilsner lager, with a refreshingly zesty hoppy taste and a floral aroma." Bruce Ray, Corporate Affairs Director of Carlsberg UK, says "This is something of a world-first. Adult participation in video gaming is a truly social activity, on a par with cinema and music." He adds, "We're proud to work with Bethesda to produce a beer Fallout fans can enjoy."
Fans from the rest of the world might need a friend in the UK to get their hands on this special beer. Right now, the Fallout Beer is available for pre-order and will be released on November 5, 2015. Amazon UK will not ship this item anywhere else.
The beer comes in a case of 12 bottles and each is a standard 330 ml bottle. The bottles are green, very much like the Carlsberg beer bottles, but the labels have a distinctively Fallout feel to them. The labels also have blue hue to them with a stylized image of a nuclear mushroom cloud.
Comic Book noted that Fallout Beer is a 4% ABV (alcohol by volume) pilsner lager and can only be sold to fans 18 years old and above. The pre-order price is £29.99 which includes free delivery. That works out to be roughly $45, alamost as much as the game itself. If you do not mind the price tag, then by all means order your own case today.
Fallout 4 will be released worldwide on November 10 for PS 4, Xbox One, and PC, The Independent reported.
