Troubled child star Amanda Bynes will reportedly be home for the holidays.
The "Hairspray" actress completed inpatient treatment and is reportedly home in the custody of her parents, Bynes family attorney Tamar Arminak told People Magazine in a statement on Wednesday.
"She is doing very well and reestablishing a close and loving relationship with her family," Arminak said. "Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery. She's feeling better every day."
Arminak said the 27-year-old will continue with outpatient treatment. As far as the future, Arminak said Bynes is also considering going into fashion.
"She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design," Arminak said to People. She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."
The "All That" star designed a collection for Steve & Barry called Dear in August 2007, but the partnership ended after the company filed for bankruptcy. Two months before she was sent into treatment, Bynes said she was eager to get back into the apparel business.
"I love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's clothing line, Elizabeth and James, and I love how Justin Bieber dresses," Bynes told In Touch magazine in May 2013. "My line will be a mixture of sick styles, and it's going to be for everybody."
In July, the actress was placed on an involuntary hold after she reportedly started a fire in a neighbor's driveway. She was later hospitalized an extra 30 days based on doctor's request. TMZ reported the actress was undergoing treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
According to Arminak, Bynes' mother will remain in custody of the actress' well-being. In October, Bynes' family released a statement confirming she was "making great strides toward recovery" but asked for continued privacy.
In late November, a judge declared the Bynes mentally competent to stand trial for her 2012 DUI. Bynes' next court date is set for Jan. 7, 2014, when both parties will reevaluate where she stands.
