In this age when kids are hooked on social media from Facebook, Twitter to Instagram, there are dangers that they can be facing and parents can learn a thing or two from the parenting styles of soccer player David Beckham and his wife who is former Spicegirls, Victoria.
The soccer dad opened up about how he does fatherhood the right way to his sons, especially to Brooklyn who is now 16 years old. His son gained over 5 millions followers on Instagram, but the intriguing part was that David and Victoria were actually monitoring their kid's postings and updates. David was not afraid to say that he is pretty strict when it comes to his kids, especially if social media and public decorum are involved.
The famous soccer dad was happy to tell The Telegraph how lucky he is along with his wife to have a son like Brooklyn who is actually very close to them that he would confide everything to them. "I'm constantly on at my son who is 16. He doesn't post anything [on Instagram] without showing us [first]. He talks to us about everything, so we are very lucky," Beckham said.
David and Victoria have another son who just turned 12 and his name is Romeo. David also keeps an eye on him saying, "My 13 year-old has a private one because he's allowed to. But, apart from that, [they're not on social media]. I think you have to control what your children do to a certain extent."
Being parents who are high profile in the world of entertainment, it is only fitting that they do extra measures in protecting their children. After all, they are carrying their names and being strict to them would also help in protecting them from dangerous people.
