Is Glenn The New Jon Snow? Fan Theories Say Steven Yeun's 'The Walking Dead' Character Is Still Alive [SPOILERS]

[SPOILERS AHEAD! THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE CONTAINS DETAILS FROM 'THE WALKING DEAD' EPISODE 'THANK YOU']

'The Walking Dead' fans who recently tuned in to watch the episode 'Thank You' immediately understood why it was given that ominous title.

At one point, Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Nicholas (Michael Traynor) try to reach a feed store, only to find that it has already been burned down and a horde of walkers are waiting for them. The pair ends up atop a dumpster, where Nicholas goes into a daze while staring at the sea of hungry faces. And before you could say "Snap out of it!" he turns to Glenn, says "Thank you" and shoots himself in the head.

Nicholas-haters who thought "Good riddance" also found themselves screaming when his corpse drags Glenn down straight into the walker horde. Then the worst scene anyone could possibly imagine in a 'Walking Dead' episode happens: Glenn got ripped to shreds.

(You can watch how a fan reacts to the horror unfolding in the video below.)

Or did he?

New theories have emerged as to what happened in the scene, which does show Steven Yeun screaming and crying as blood flows and guts are pulled out. However, some fans believe that the body being torn apart is Nicholas' corpse and Glenn is simply reacting to the horror of seeing the disembowelment up close.

So is Glenn Rhee alive? Is it possible that he is now 'The Walking Dead' version of Jon Snow from 'Game of Thrones,' who was famously stabbed to death in the season finale but is believed to be brought back to life in Season Six?

Although Glenn's chances of surviving the walker horde are extremely bleak (and they don't have magical Red Priestesses anywhere near the feed store), some fans believe he would make it. After all, his grisly death in the 'Walking Dead' comic series is brought on by bad guy Negan and his trusty bat Lucille.

Will Glenn survive the walkers only to be killed by Negan? Find out when the next episode of 'The Walking Dead' Season Six airs on AMC next Sunday.
