Prince is without a doubt one of the most mysterious people in show business, if now downright the oddest figure in the music industry, and he keeps his aura of wonder by keeping mostly secluded and rarely giving interviews - but now, there's a new Prince Instagram around to show what's what!
The new official Prince Instagram account, with the sweet name Princestagram, has only been up for a few days and it's already catering to the wildest dreams of the Purple One's followers, showing off endless pictures of the "I Wanna Be Your Lover" singer and even memes - whoever's managing it is doing a killer job!
According to Jezebel, Prince's Instagram is filled with pop culture references, from references to popular meme "This Could Be Us But You're Playing" all the way to holding his place as a Gladiator in a Suit, a great wink to Olivia Pope and Associates from the ABC Shondaland series "Scandal."
As Entertainment Weekly reports, Prince's Instagram account is just a new step on the artist's complicated relationship with the Internet, as in the past he has declared the Internet to be "completely over" only to turn into a Twitter adept later on, although deleting his tweets fairly often - and now, it seems he's taken his online savoir faire to the photo-sharing site.
Last September, Prince seemingly made up with the Internet once more after releasing his latest album, "HITNRUN," exclusively through Jay Z's service Tidal, so it shouldn't be surprising to see Prince's Instagram up and running - though he has confessed in the past that he changes his mind about things more often than not.
According to The New York Times, this is the second time Prince starts his own Instagram account, after having one for a short while last year only to delete it around the time he went completely dark in his online presence, when he deleted his accounts in Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
In any case, be sure to check out Prince's Instagram for some fun retro and new pics of the "Purple Man" star!
