Star Wars home viewing is now possible!
Netflix and Disney have agreed to allow the streaming of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' next year after it is released on theaters. Fans who will miss the film or wish to want to watch it over and over again can do so via Netflix.
However, the streaming for the movie in 2016 will only be available in Canada according to the report given by Variety. This is because of the deal of Disney with Netflix to make movies in 2015 available for streaming in the said region.
Watching the film over and over again is possible since Netflix will provide access to the said movie for eight months. Unfortunately for Star Wars fans who are not from Canada, the entertainment company has only acquired rights for the film in the said region.
But there still might be a chance for the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' to be available in other areas since the most awaited film would be a great opportunity for Netflix. The company will surely not let the business opportunity go to waste.
Besides 'The Force Awakens', Netflix is also working to obtain rights for the other Star Wars films. Disney currently owns the rights to all the Star Wars movies excluding the original 1977 film which is a property of 21st Century Fox.
Star Wars fans showed their overwhelming support to the upcoming J.J. Abrams film 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' as many have already bought tickets for the movie. This hints that the first film of the Star Wars trilogy will surely be successful once it hits the movie screens this coming December.
The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' which is the first film of the Star Wars trilogy is among the talked about movies of this year. The most awaited film will land on theaters this coming December 18.
