Gay Waitress Stiffed: Family Refuses to Tip Server Because 'I Don't Agree With Your Lifestyle'

A waitress and former Marine who works at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, NJ, was stiffed out of a tip recently, but perhaps worse than the missing money was the note left on the receipt.

According to the Huffington Post, Dayna Morales, said a family dining at the restaurant Wednesday night skipped the tip on their $93.55 bill and scribbled an explanation why, because they did not agree with her lifestyle.

"I'm Sorry But I cannot tip because I do not agree with your beliefs," the note said.

Morales wrote an email to gay-friendly blog "Have A Gay Day" about her recent experience with homophobia family.

Morales, who has been waiting tables on and off for 10 years, said she never told the family she was gay when she introduced herself, but the mother was allegedly shocked by Morales' short hair.

"I introduce myself and tell them my name is Dayna the mom proceeds to look at me and say 'oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan. You sure surprised us!'" Morales said.

After she served the family their meal without further incident, she discovered the note on the bill. Morales sent a picture of the receipt to the "Have a Gay Day" Facebook page, where it has since been received more than 2,000 comments.

Morales later expressed her disgust over the incident.

"I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids but you didn't see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again."

Morales said she's imploring people to forgive these ignorant people.

"I always tip 15% to 20% no matter who my server is, what my server does out side of the place is none of my business," wrote another.

Last month, a waiter at Carrabba's Italian Grill in Overland Park, Kan., found a shockingly homophobic message on the back of a reciept some Christian diners left behind.

"We hope you will see the tip your fag choices made you lose out on, and plan accordingly," the note read."It is never too late for GOD'S love, but none shall be spared for fags. May GOD have mercy on you."
