All About That Bass, Meghan Trainor brought the optimum body image, and told ET her own self-confidence is definitely still a work in process.
In an interview with ET, the singer said "My confidence, I'm still working on every day. Everybody is," revealing that her breakout hit has lifted her own spirit as much as her fans'.

However, she admits that, “It’s terrifying, saying to the entire world, ‘Hey, I’m a little curvy and I’m in love with it, I’m fine with it!’ when I really was not 100 percent fine with it while writing the song. It was more of a song that I wish I was hearing on the radio to help me with my insecurities.”

"Why just wear it when you can own it?" she challenges fellow fashionistas.
"I love what they are saying -- they are having women not only fall in love with their curves and really accept themselves, but to work it and to own them! Show them off!" says Trainor.
"It's hard growing up, especially for young curvy girls like me," she notes. "I remember shopping at the mall ... and all my friends would be the small, and I would be getting that L. I couldn't even shop at particular stores."
Meghan was inspired to write a song about her private heartache. As a teen she suffered cruel insults about her plus-size body.
She was ashamed for her figure that she refused to go to the beach as that would mean having to wear a bathing and exposing her shape for everyone to see.
An American singer-songwriter Meghan grew up on the small island of Nantuket off the coast of Boston in Massachusetts, she also rejected invitations to pool parties as she refused to look "unattractive" in a bikini.
Trainor freely annouced that she has not been push to change her look in order to be successful.
Meghan Trainor's work has been recognized with several awards and nominations, including the Music Business Association's Breakthrough Artist of the Year accolade and won two Billboard Music Awards in 2015.
