41-year-old actress and director Elizabeth Banks is adding another item to her list of achievements: "Saturday Night Live" host.
Yes, the "Hunger Games" actress is set to make her first ever hosting gig on NBC's "SNL" for the show's November 14 episode. Not only that, but she'll also be joined by musical guest Disclosure.
Elizabeth Banks first made the announcement on her Twitter account: "I'm hosting @nbcsnl November 14!! So excited --- @disclosure is musical guest! You guys ready? #SNL"
Even Disclosure issued a tweet, chiming in with Elizabeth Banks: ".@ElizabethBanks @nbcsnl We're ready... and we're bringing some friends! @lordemusic @samsmithworld letsgoooo!"
Although surprising, the choice of Elizabeth Banks hosting the show is definitely exciting. With additional guests in the form of Lorde and Sam Smith, it seems as though Elizabeth Banks and Disclosure intend to bring the house down.
Mashable reports:
"At least one member of 'The Hunger Games'' cast was likely to host the show this fall, as the movie's final installment hits theaters Nov. 20. But most bets were on a reprise from Jennifer Lawrence or Josh Hutcherson, both of whom have hosted before, or Liam Hemsworth, who has cameoed on 'SNL' twice - once when his brother Chris hosted, the other when his 'Hunger Games' costar Woody Harrelson hosted.
"'Pitch Perfect 2' director Banks, of course, has an existing connection to the 'SNL' world, having recurred on Tina Fey's '30 Rock.'"
"Saturday Night Live" will return with new episodes starting November 7. The first episode will feature Donald Trump as the host, while Sia performs as a musical guest.
Elizabeth Banks net worth is $18 million. Catch her on "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" when it hits theatres on November 20. In the meantime, you can watch the film's trailer below.
