Mark Wahlberg Net Worth: Watch Him Do A 'Dad-Off' Against Will Ferrell in 'Daddys Home' Trailer [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

It's always a terrible feeling when you've been replaced, especially for a parent. An upcoming film called "Daddy's Home," which stars Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, tackles just that.

Will Ferrell plays the role of Brad Taggart, who eventually becomes the stepfather of two children - the biological kids of Dusty Maryon, played by Mark Wahlberg.

Of course, the two fathers have their own territorial insecurities already on hand, but things get worse when Brad and Dusty finally meet for the first time.

Both Brad and Dusty inevitably ensue in a "dad-off" where the stepfather battles the biological dad - eventually entering a unspoken yet obvious competition for the affection of the children.

Brad is the kind and stable sort of stepfather who finds himself jealous of Dusty, who has an apparent bond with the children. Even with a cool and tough exterior, Dusty eventually proves that he puts high value on his family.

Although the film seems superficial and ostentatiously silly, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg - who have previously worked together on "The Other Guys" - prove that they both complement each other as a hilarious tandem.

The rest of the cast includes Thomas Haden Church, Hannibal Buress, Paul Scheer, and Linda Cardellini. "Daddy's Home" is directed by Sean Anders and John Morris of "Hot Tub Time Machine" fame.

Catch Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg hilariously battle for the role of a better father in "Daddy's Home" when it hits theatres on Christmas Day, December 25.

Mark Wahlberg is more known for his action-filled and macho films, but has been taking on more roles in the comedy scene.

The Boston-born actor and producer has further proven that he's got the chops for comedy, so it wouldn't be so surprising if we see Mark Wahlberg tackle more roles in comedic films.

Mark Wahlberg net worth is $225 million.
