'The Flash' Season 2: Grant Gustin And Tom Cavanagh Talk About The Real Harrison Wells! [SPOILERS]

[SPOILERS AHEAD! THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE CONTAINS DETAILS FROM THE LATEST 'THE FLASH' SEASON TWO EPISODE 'FAMILY OF ROGUES']

Don't look now, but Harrison Wells has returned to 'The Flash' Season Two! Well, it's not the same Wells that everyone loathes and loves, but rather the Harrison Wells from Earth-Two.

As exciting as it may be to have Tom Cavanagh return as the speedy villain, Grant Gustin told ET Online that the new Harrison Wells could be worse than the first one.

"He's less of a bad guy and more of a douchebag," Gustin said about the real Harrison Wells, although that doesn't stop Barry Allen from almost immediately trusting the guy.

"It's not Eobard Thawne, it's actually Harrison Wells," Gustin explained. "It's the actual guy that Barry always idolized and looked up to, but [he's] from a different world. Barry wants to trust him and he's actually, in a way, quicker to trust him than he was to trust Jay [Garrick]."

Tom Cavanagh admits that it was his decision to make the Earth-Two Harrison Wells more egotistical.

"It wasn't written that way, but that's how I decided to do it," he said. "It just seemed to me to be a massive opportunity to turn the tables."

But why is the new Harrison Wells so different from Reverse Flash? Tom Cavanagh explained that they can't both be the same.

"With Eobard as Harrison last year, there was a certain intelligence and charm and a mannered way to him -- a thoughtfulness," he said. "I think the expectation [was] that this same person coming From Earth-Two would be like that and my thought was, 'Why?' If he's a much more brusque, and arrogant, and generates conflict, than I think all the better for the show, and all the better for me to play."

Nevertheless, the two Harrison Wells still have their similarities.

"Everything that Eobard did was justified," Cavanagh said. "He had a plan and he completely believed in his plan, and the character that I'm playing his year is similarly committed."
