Is there another celebrity romance in the works?
Page Six claims that 65-year-old Bill Murray and 39-year-old indie singer Jenny Lewis (who also appeared on "Troop Beverly Hills") have a thing going on.
In fact, the publication reports:
"Bill Murray celebrated his movie 'Rock the Kasbah' like a rock star by partying till after midnight Tuesday and jumping onstage with a band at the subterranean Hudson New York City club Good Units.
"Meanwhile, we hear one guest who showed up at the bitter end of the night is Murray's current younger love interest, indie rocker Jenny Lewis."
A source told the outlet that "Jenny is Bill's special friend."
Jenny Lewis even posted a photo of the two onstage as Murray held the microphone out to her on her Instagram account. For some reason, no caption was written.
However, both Vulture and Us Weekly reports that Jenny Lewis and Bill Murray are just good friends. Not to mention that Jenny Lewis has been linked to frequent collaborator musician Jonathan Rice for years now. Vulture reports:
"Well, Vulture is here to sadly or gladly - depending on how much you fixate on their 26-year age difference - inform you that they are not dating. A source near the pals tells us that they are indeed just friends. That said, what a cool pairing of friends! Can't you just imagine them going on friend dates, running through crowded flea markets and putting hats on each other?"
Talking to Howard Stern last year, the comedian also revealed the reason why he doesn't have a girlfriend:
"Not to diminish a relationship with a woman but I can't take care of another relationship if I can't take care of the things I really need to take care of the most. [...] It's not a selfish thing... it's just sort of an obligation."
