Canadian singer and record producer The Weeknd who has been soaring high in the music charts recently, shared details about his first encounter with the "Bad Blood" hit-maker, Taylor Swift, adding that Swift spent their first meet up admiring his unique hairstyle, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The "Earned It" singer, who later appeared in one of Swift's 1989 world tour concerts, first met Tay-Tay during a post-Grammy party which was held earlier this year.
"But the whole time she was talking, she was kind of like, petting my hair," The Weeknd told Rolling Stone as he covered for the site's latest story. "I think she was just drawn to it."
He went on saying, "And of course I'm not going to be like, 'Hey, can you stop? I mean, it felt good!"
More than the admiration, The Weeknd did not miss out on sharing how Taylor Swift admired his music as well. The red-lipped pop star, who has been looked up by many as one of the world's biggest music artists, admitted that she has been "listening" to some of his hit tracks.
"She actually schooled me on my own s---," he said. "She was, 'I've been listening to 'The Morning' for years, it's one of my favorite songs ever!' I mean, she might have just Googled it. But she seemed genuine."
When beings asked about his unique hairdo, The Weeknd explained his grounds for growing it out that way, saying "I want to be remembered as iconic and different. So, I was like, 'F--- it I'm gonna let my hair just be it wants."
He went on saying, "I'll probably cut it if it starts interfering with my eyesight. I can kind of see it right now. But if I cut it, I'd look like everyone else. And that's just so boring to me."
Besides sharing about Swift, the singer has also openly talked about his relationship with model Bella Hadid.
"I actually asked her to be on the artwork for "Beauty Behind the Madness", he said. "My motive was literally to work with her."
The Weeknd is headed to a show on Saturday, October 24, which will be held at the Hollywood Bowl situated in Los Angeles, CA, United States.
