Bacon-Scented Deodorant: Seattle-Based Company Introduces Tasty New Product

America loves bacon, that's indisputable, but now a Seattle-based firm has taken that affection to pungent new levels.

According to the Huffington Post, J&D's Foods, a specialty foods company, has announced its latest product, a gel deodorant that smells like bacon called "Power Bacon". The company was launched by Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow, after they won money for a clip they entered on America's Funniest Home Videos.

"Power Bacon deodorant is designed specifically for those with active lifestyles or people who just sweat like pigs," the product page reads on J&D Foods' website.

To get the most out of the bacon-scented product, which the website refers to as "an aphrodisiac for your armpits," the company humorously suggests to apply liberally to the individuals underarms or private areas. Esch said the deodorant should not be worn in the wilderness.

According to Esch, though the deodorant may smell strongly of bacon, it does not actually contain any pork. The product is also 100 percent kosher and vegetarian.

"It's not really a deodorant, it's an odorant," J&D's owner Esch told ABC News. "It's a strong meat-scented musk that comes off your body."

Power Bacon is by no means the only bacon-themed product available from J&D Foods; the company also sells bacon seasoning, bacon sunscreen, a bacon-flavored spread and bacon shaving cream. The first product they launched was bacon-flavored seasoning salt, a zero calorie, zero fat, low sodium seasoning that makes everything taste like bacon.

"We soon realized that the worldwide demand for a bacon-flavored seasoning was more immense than we could have ever imagined," the company said.

The product is on sale for just $9.99.
