'Cruel Intentions' TV Series on NBC

It has been confirmed that American commercial broadcast television and radio network - NBC, is collaborating with the maker of L.A.'s Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions, for a TV follow-up series based on the 1999 film, that starred the actor, director, and writer - Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon and the actress who made her acting debut in the made-for-TV movie An Invasion of Privacy - Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The small-screen sequel, which has been presented with a script plus penalty commitment, where the point from which the project is directed is about Bash Casey, the son of Phillippe and the characters of Reese Witherspoon - Sebastian and Annette.

The Cruel Intentions of the National Broadcasting Company is set in the present day, that center around Bash, who, after he found out about his father's journal, acquires knowledge of a family legacy that Bash wasn't aware that it existed.

As Bash was searching for answers, he made an act of exchanging his small-town Kansas upbringing for a scholarship to Brighton Prep in San Francisco, where Bash became involved deeply in a world of sex, money, power and corruption.

Reportedly, director Roger Kumble and producer Neal H. Moritz from the 1999 American drama film - Cruel Intentions, will be joined by the tandem behind the musical parody - Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross. The duo's send-up at L.A.'s Rockwell in May evoke the film's four central stars, that includes American film, television and theater actress - Selma Blair.

Director Roger Kumble has been keeping in touch with Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross after blessing the musical parody. Roger Kumble will also pen the script for NBC in cooperation with Rosin and Ross, with director Kumble also attached to direct, in that, the reboot should move forward.

In addition, Neal H. Moritz, who is a Sony Pictures Television-based, will be the executive producer alongside with Moritz' Original Film's Pavun Shetty. And Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross are set as co-executive producers.
