‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Leah Messer Loses Primary Custody Of Twin Daughters

In the latest chapter of Teen Mom 2‘s Leah Messer and Corey Simms’ never-ending custody battle, a West Virginia judge reportedly granted Corey primary custody of the former spouses’ twin daughters. According to a new report, the decision was made “effective immediately” on October 13 and means Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now.

So what prompted the judge to make such a drastic decision?

It all started to go down hill for Leah when Corey first fought for custody of their girls in 2014 after multiple reports claimed that Leah was abusing prescription pills. Corey even threw the addiction problem in her face during the TM2 reunion.

According to sources, the troubled MTV star wasn’t making any parenting progress following her June release from rehab. She entered treatment for what she claims is an anxiety and depression issue, but what sources say it was prescription painkiller abuse.

“Leah’s really been screwing up, so Corey took her back to court,” the source explains. “The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody.”

The question is, will Leah’s other ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, also try to seek primary custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Addie?

The source says, “Everyone is very worried about Addie. She recently wandered out of the house while Leah was distracted. Thankfully, a police officer found Addie and brought her back home.” The issues with Leah’s parenting just continue to spew out.

Sadly, Messer’s devastating loss isn’t a surprise to Teen Mom 2 fans. The young mother of three was caught on camera this season exhibiting bad mom behavior, including feeding the kids dinner at midnight, neglecting them in the car, and cursing in front of them.

If the story is true, fans should see the effects of the new custody arrangement on Teen Mom 2, which was reportedly renewed for a seventh season.
