Over the past few months, Facebook has been shifting towards making the feed look more lively, changing the way everyone posts on the social media site after introducing working GIFs without having to click beyond - and Wendy's Facebook is certainly taking advantage of the new way to do things!
As content creation and sharing becomes more and more important in today's advertising, Wendy's Facebook is stepping up to the plate with their new way to do things, running a new campaign that mixes GIFs, videos and photos to show how their main menu items, burgers, are made, making the process much more fun to watch.
According to Adweek, the new Wendy's Facebook ad is fairly interactive, as it prompts users to use similar gestures as that of Snapchat, one of the most popular social networks right now, with a target of millennials and those younger than them.
"The Wendy's quality story carries a lot of equity with our fans and we wanted to invite them into that story, literally layer by layer," said Mike Bueno, the director of digital marketing at the fast food chain, explaining the new Wendy's Facebook ad showing users how to layer their burgers. "We're always looking for new ways to have fun with digital, and Facebook is a great partner in helping us do that."
Tube Filter reports that the Wendy's Facebook campaign is called "Take It From the Top," and it can take up the entire screen thanks to the social site's new format, including a range of media showing off how their tasty burgers are made.
According to Tech Crunch, the move is huge in how the easiness of manipulating the ad actually feels like holding a burger, as it holds up interestingly in the way things work over at their kitchen - without even having to leave the social network.
