One More Time! One Direction’s Concert on Belfast Was Moved After Cancellation

One Direction concert in Belfast was re-scheduled after being cancelled Tuesday at the last minute. The incident left fans bursting into tears.

But this time the fans will surely burst into happiness as it is confirmed that One Direction's concert will go on ahead as planned on Wednesday and Thursday.

The show was cancelled because Liam Payne was ill. The following day, he tweeted a sequence of messages, thanking his distressed fans for their support and expressing his pleasure over getting back on stage on the re-scheduled date.

He tweeted, 'I'm so sorry to everybody I disappointed last night. I'm feeling better now. I really hope everyone can make the rescheduled date on Friday.

'Thank you so much for all the trends and lovely messages you guys did for me it really shows how amazing u guys actually are.'

He continued, ''As I said I'm feeling much better now and I really can't wait to perform and make it up to everyone later.'

Right before the 22-year-old's messages, Alken Promotion confirmed in a statement that the show will go on, and that the other slated performance has also been rescheduled.

The statement read as : 'Tonight's and Tomorrow Night's One Direction concerts in SSE Arena, Belfast will be going ahead as planned. Once again we apologise for the cancellation of last night's One Direction show. We thank everyone for their understanding and their good wishes to Liam.

It continued, 'Tuesday's concert has been rescheduled for this Friday 23rd October. All tickets from last night's postponed concert will be valid for Friday.

'For anyone not able to attend the rescheduled Show on Friday, please contact point of purchase for detail of how to obtain a refund.'

Neil Walker, the General Manager of The SSE Arena, Belfast also confirmed that the pre-scheduled sports event of Belfast Giants versus Sheffield Steelers had to move due to the last minute change of 1D's show.

He quoted : 'We are extremely grateful to the Belfast Giants and Sheffield teams and apologize to their fans for the inconvenience caused - we are very grateful to them for their understanding and accommodation of the nearly 10,000 young concert fans who were so devastated by the cancellation last night.'
